Our business systems are comprised of a collection of contiguous business processes, connecting workflow together to deliver value to teams across Deputy.

The role

Due to recent rapid growth and a number of exciting initiatives planned, Deputy is searching for a proactive Project Manager to create, coordinate and drive the completion of project plans relating to our key strategic initiatives. Our next Deputy will be an excellent communicator and facilitator, and should demonstrate a keen attitude towards effective delivery against stated goals, managing unexpected blockers and bringing people from different parts of the organisation together to work successfully as a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to, and supporting the Program Lead with the delivery of cross-functional initiatives
• Plan and deliver small to medium-sized data & tech projects
• Collaborate with stakeholders across various business functions e.g Finance, Legal, Marketing & Sales to define project roles, responsibilities, scope and deliverables
• Develop project plans and manage timelines (Smartsheet) throughout the duration of project, ensuring key milestones are communicated to stakeholders
• Create status reports (Confluence) and facilitate weekly/fortnightly project meetings as well as project retrospectives; fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
• Own the management of BAU sprints; facilitate backlog grooming and sprint planning meetings with the team
• Support Program Lead with quarterly team planning workshops to align business priorities 
• Assist Program Lead with project admin/coordination tasks on larger initiatives

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Project Manager in a digital, technology or product organisation (SaaS experience desirable but not essential)
• Experience managing small to medium-sized tech & data projects, experience with Deputy’s current business systems (Marketo, Salesforce, Netsuite, Zuora, Workato & Snowflake) is favourable
• Experience managing cross-functional project teams, providing direction, motivation and guidance to team members
• Comfortable with ambiguity and proven track record of delivering projects on-time in a fast paced, ever changing environment
• Ability to communicate confidently to all levels of the business, serving as a liaison between different stakeholders
• Highly organised with the ability to balance competing business priorities and deliver parallel workstreams
• Proficient using Jira and Confluence
• Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies, relevant project management qualification/certification is advantageous
