Duties

As a Training Specialist, you will:

• Initiate training program planning, curriculum development, conducting training and learning program continuous improvement.
• Design and develop training courses and/or development programs for employees with key subject matter interfaces.
• Handle timely and accurate maintenance of student records and entry of attendance, assessment, goals, and other data as needed.
• Design and execute global and individual development plans.
• Deliver orientation programs as needed.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service.

Specialized experience for this position includes:

• Managing and administering a training development program; AND
• Planning training assessments and analyses to develop strategic and tactical training plans; AND
• Developing training content or training materials based on information obtained from managers or subject matter experts.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.

OTHER INFORMATION:

• The facility typically shuts down annually between Christmas and New Year's Day. As such, all BEP employees must take leave for workdays during the shutdown period.
