Denver Rescue Mission is Hiring a Systems Administrator II Near Denver, CO

Description

The Systems Administrator 2 (SA2) is a full-time, exempt position of Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) which must agree with and abide by our Statement of Faith and Ministry Principles. In addition, all employees must comply with policies as summarized in the DRM Employee Handbook.

POSITION SUMMARY

The SA2 has day-to day technical responsibilities associated with development, administration, and support of a variety of enterprise services such as but not limited to: Office 365, Azure AD, Intune, SharePoint, cloud virtual infrastructure, enterprise VoIP, and some legacy Active Directory services. The SA2 will work directly with the Technical Support Manager (TSM) to understand the current and future technology needs of DRM and respond to those needs through advancing current systems or identifying the need for new technologies. The SA2 will also be responsible for training the IT team on new practices and procedures related to end user support and the maintenance IT infrastructure. This position is a part of our help desk and will also be responsible for responding to escalated end user tickets and asked to regularly assist with end user support.

Hiring Range: $62,000 - $77,500 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

  • Responsible for the administration and monitoring of computer software, computer equipment, VoIP phone system, and server infrastructure
  • Responsible for the administration and monitoring of enterprise management systems used to maintain the health and security of all IT infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to: Endpoint Manager, Apple Business Manager, Google Admin, Microsoft Defender, anti-virus services, mobile device management, enterprise password system
  • Responsible for the regular auditing of access control and update compliance systems to comply with security best practices and regulatory compliance
  • Works with the Technical Support Manager to document system configurations, changes, and other information critical to their long-term maintenance
  • Work directly with the IT technicians to ensure they understand the processes and procedures needed to support end users and IT Infrastructure
  • Work with all departments within DRM to understand IT related workflow and processes to select, develop, and maintain business tools and application to improve effectiveness and assist in day-to-day operations. These tools include but are not limited to: SharePoint, Office 365, Azure AD, Power Platform, Azure Cloud services
  • Assist with end user support of IT systems and act as back-up for our IT technicians when required. This may require the physical installation of IT equipment or traveling to other facilities to assist in-person.
  • Work with the Network Security Administrator to understand our network and security infrastructure to ensure the security of all IT systems
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 4 years of experience in an IT related field. Education or certifications may be considered in place of experience.
  • Experience with Hybrid Domain infrastructure such as Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365
  • Experience working in virtual infrastructure such as Azure and VMware
  • Experience with scripting languages and CLI tools (PowerShell, Azure CLI)
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both internal customers and external entities
  • Great analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and innovate to solve complex problems
  • Good driving record with valid Colorado driver’s license and reliable transportation with willingness to travel up to 75 miles with mileage reimbursement provided
  • Willingness to work on call for emergency issues
  • Willingness to work occasional extended hours and/or weekends

NOTE: A significant amount of work-related travel may be required in and between Denver and Wellington
