Life at the Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) as a Clinical Manager

The CM should be someone with proven leadership skills, with a developing counseling philosophy, who takes initiative, can multi-task, and is able to work with a diverse clientele. The CM provides leadership, assessments, assignments, and accountabilities to all Counseling Staff. The CM reports to the Director of Residential Programs.

The Clinic Manager(CM) at Harvest Farm is a full-time, exempt position of Denver Rescue Mission (DRM) which must agree with and abide by our Statement of Faith and Ministry Principles. In addition, all employees must comply with policies as summarized in the DRM Employee Handbook.

Hiring Range: $52,000.00 - $59,800.00 annually, based on qualifications and experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Oversight

  • Organize and oversee all individual and group counseling sessions for NLP Program Participants, in compliance with all professional counseling regulations and HIPPA laws
  • Coordinate and/or supervise the intake process for potential participants seeking entry to Harvest Farm, their arrival, welcome, and first days in the program.
  • Ensure that initial mental health assessments are complete for each Program Candidate (PC) to ensure the individual is safe and able to fully participate in the NLP programs.
  • Ensure that all participants complete mandatory individual and group counseling sessions.
  • Ensure that all case manager/chaplain-mandated counseling session are completed.
  • Provide up-to 6-8 weekly counseling sessions for the most at-risk program candidates and participants.
  • Organize the delivery of group counseling sessions based on addiction, mental health, relationships, and physical health topics.
  • Maintain best practices with new therapies and approaches geared toward the co-occurring disorders, substance use disorder, and experiential therapies, etc. 
  • Maintain best-practices with assessment instruments: Beck Depression Inventory, Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator, Holland Career Test, etc.
  • Oversee Counseling staff involvement in the NLP for the purpose of introducing and familiarizing program participants with counseling staff and resources.
  • Update and maintain a contact list of available counseling resources available to NLP and coordinate on-site services via partner agencies and organizations.

Outcomes

  • Ensure counseling notes are tracked in compliance with HIPPA laws.
  • Ensure that counseling session are tracked within the NLP treatment plans.
  • Ensure that relevant reports are generated to keep necessary staff apprised of programmatic successes.

Supervision

  • Supervise all Counseling staff – including LCSW, LPC, LMFT and LPC and LMFT Candidates
  • Supervise all Counseling interns – both master’s-level and LCSW, LPC and LMFT Candidates
  • Supervise all Counseling volunteers – including LCSW, LPC, LMFT and LPC and LMFT Candidates
  • Work with the New Life Program Director to hire and onboard new employees; to conduct weekly meetings, both individual and group; to address performance issues, including the annual performance review process; and to schedule assigned shifts, time off, etc.
  • Oversee training, oversight and development of interns and volunteers

Requirements

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor (LMFT), with a minimum of 5-7 years of supervisory experience
  • Prefer Certified Addictions Counselor (CAT, CAS) or licensed (LCAC)
  • Willingness to work a schedule necessary to support 24/7 program operations
  • Integrates professional skills in psychology with a Biblical worldview
  • Ability to work with clients who are homeless or struggling due to personal circumstances 
  • Well-developed administrative, supervision and relationship skills
  • Quality social and interpersonal skills and Christian character with staff and the community
  • A heart and commitment to serve the needy and seeing lives changed in the name of Christ
