Seeking a full-time dental hygienist to join our team in Shoreham. Our practice has been providing exceptional dental services to the local community for many years. We look forward to bringing on a new team member that strives to provide the best experience and clinical outcomes for their patients. The position does include some Saturday availability - schedule details below!

OUR OFFICE: 

SCHEDULE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate patient oral areas, head and neck for signs of oral disease and examining oral cavity for signs of periodontal disease or possible cancers, including sores, recessed & bleeding gums, and oral lesions
• Documents patient medical and dental histories and any chief complaints; records and reports pertinent observations and patient reactions to dental staff, as appropriate; documents lab procedures and ensures follow up on results
• Follows through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist. Procedures may include: Prophylaxis, Periodontal Scaling, Root Planing, Debridement, Application of Fluoride Treatments, and Application of Protective Sealants
• Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments during treatment of patients

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a licensed Registered Dental Hygienist
• Active CPR Certification
• Ability to prepare dental equipment and instruments
• Excellent working knowledge of overall dentistry and dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
