Job Summary
Working under supervision, supports loading dock operations at client facility. Coordinates tenant deliveries while providing excellent customer service. Maintains the loading dock to ensure a clean and safe environment. This will be accomplished by performing on-site routine maintenance and assisting others with their duties including but not limited to the Essential Functions listed below.
Essential Functions
Complies with all applicable Federal, State and Local codes, regulations and corporate policies/procedures related to building operations and work safety
Coordinates and schedules deliveries
Safely manages staging of delivery trucks when entering and leaving loading dock
Performs property-tending duties such as trash pick-up, bathroom clean-up/stocking supplies, and sweeping/mopping.
Load/Unload Shipping trailers as necessary.
Read and generate shipping manifestos.
Proactively identify and mitigate safety hazards
Monitors and ensures staff and visitors in the loading dock are complying with safety policies and practices
Monitors and coordinates trash/recycling removal and pick up of dumpsters
As a first responder operations level, responsible for initiating procedures in the event of hazardous substance spill or release in the loading dock area
Supports facility management team with alarm monitoring and response. Aware of fire alarm procedures, function, and panel locations
Other duties as assigned .
On-Call Status
Schedule subject to change, remaining flexible within reasonable notice
24/7 Response if applicable
Pre-Hire Qualifications
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma
Prior work experience illustrating good attendance, professional behavior, reliability
Ability to follow orders given orally and in writing
Basic computer and smartphone skills
Ability to complete tasks, input data and complete paperwork with basic supervision
Physical Qualifications
Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools and paint
Ability to stand, crouch, and climb to perform repairs, use ladder, and perform various types of manual labor
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Vision (with correction) sufficient for reading, performing repairs and painting

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Days and hours of work vary according to the business demands.
Travel
The nature of our business has worksites in a number of locations in the Greater Boston area. We expect our employees to remain flexible, and travel between sites may be necessary as the business demands.
