JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: CNC MACHINE OPERATOR – 2nd Shift
Employment Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Automotive

Position Reports To: Lead Auto

Summary Description:

Operate CNC machine and other equipment in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the proper cleaning and preparation of castings as stated in the OMS/process sheet; efficiently inspect castings.
Essential Functions:
  • Safely and correctly operate CNC machine
  • Perform work in accordance with specific job work instructions
  • Accurately identify casting defects to determine if part is acceptable
  • Correctly fix any defects to ensure compliance with standard
  • Accurately use all tools, gauges and instruments
  • Follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy
  • Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned
Skills or Experience Required:
High school degree or GED is required; must have CNC training and/or be able to certify to meet standards of operation, care and maintenance of equipment.
Other Position Demands or Requirements:
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions with accuracy.
Working Conditions/Physical Conditions:
Exposed to heat, dust, fumes and noise of foundry floor. Must be able to bend, reach, lift and move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
Safety Requirements:

ØBasic PPE

  • Steel toed safety shoes with metarsal guard
  • Eye protection
  • Hearing protection
  • Must wear goggles or foam-lined safety glasses during some operations
