Summary Responsible for the day to day cleaning and sanitizing of the production floor and offices as direct by the FSQ Supervisor or Manager. Responsible for completing all necessary paperwork that is related to the cleaning and sanitizing duties that are performed throughout the shift. Plant Sanitation may be required to perform some preventative maintenance task as assign by plant management. Plant Sanitation may be required to work a varied schedule with overtime opportunities based on production needs. Follow all plant safety and GMP rules and regulations. Ability to read and understand customer specifications. Assist where needed/required in all food safety and quality issues or programs. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Critical to meet customer specifications and maintenance of food, safety, quality and process efficiency can be found in the SQF manual locate din the Quality Department. Work Safety: Ensures that all tasks and functions of position are performed in a safe manner at all times and that all procedures and requirements are properly followed to accomplish assigned tasks. Food Safety/Quality: Responsible for food safety and quality as well as reporting food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. Backup coverage: in the absence of QA Sanitation Associate, the FSQ Supervisor is responsible to make provision to cover the absence with a qualified associate. Physical Demands: while performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, scoop, knee, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visions and ability to adjust focus.
