Overview:

The mission of Delmarva Christian Schools is to proclaim the Gospel by preparing students spiritually, academically, and physically to know and do God’s will in their lives. To carry out this mission, DCS employs people who through their speech and conduct will impact the lives of students, parents, and fellow staff through Christ-centered relationships and the teaching of a “living curriculum”.

Position Goals :

- To assist in maintaining the facilities and usage of the DCMC campus such that it reflects the joy of community and a spirit of cooperation among all

- To assist in maintaining the facilities and usage of the DCMC campus such that the actions and interactions of staff, students, family and volunteers have every opportunity to reflect the DCS mission in a Christ-like, professionally operated, environment

Living Curriculum:

- Employ Matthew 18 principle in all conflict resolution

- Maintain open lines of communication with staff, coaches, volunteers, students

- Prayerfully maintain a lifestyle that demonstrates a commitment to Christ

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Expresses full commitment to uphold the DCS Statement of Faith and to serve in a way that is consistent with - and promotes - DCS beliefs, values, and mission.
2. Is a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions. This includes being fully committed to God’s biblical standards for a Christian lifestyle.
3. Actively participates in a local evangelical church
4. Proven to possess excellent relational and communication skills with healthy working relationships
5. Maintains high standards of ethics, integrity, and appropriate confidentiality in all personal and professional matters.
6. Possesses a high degree of organizational skills and computer literacy.

Responsibilities :

Facilities maintenance (to include the following)

- Work with maintenance staff to ensure readiness of facility and grounds for activities as planned

- Follow a regular cleaning schedule

- Cleaning key hallways, bathrooms, and other areas as assigned by Facility Coordinator

- Bring concerns to the attention of the Facilities Coordinator or the maintenance department

- Assist the Facilities Coordinator in compiling quarterly janitorial supply orders

- Assist in minor maintenance of building ie. ceiling tiles, light bulbs.

Metrics for Success

- On-site emails and requests will receive a response ‘same-day’ during school days

- Maintain frequent communication with the Campus Principal, Student Services Secretary, Facilities Manager, and maintenance staff

- Clean areas as designated
