Our tax team is seeking a motivated student who is interested in honing their skills to pursue a career in accounting for upcoming tax season (January- April 2025)
Tax interns are considered an integral part of our tax team and will be aiding with various tax & accounting engagements under the supervisor of a Tax Senior or Manager. The internship runs from January through April. We are looking for current students or graduates who are able to work up to Full-time for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Ability to have flexibility to increase weekly hours is required to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing individual/business tax returns, accounting projects and other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Demonstrate positive attitude towards Firm and profession
• Communicate with engagement manager/partner to discuss client tax accounting matters
• Meet client service expectations through adhering to time budgets and maintaining positive communications
• Gain an understanding of Firm policies, software programs, procedures, and professional standards through observation, inquiry and adherence to them
• Maintain confidentiality of firm and client information.
• Demonstrate professional etiquette and develop efficient work habits.
A successful applicant will increase their confidence and professional skills while working as part of the DeLeon and Stang tax team. The firm does look to fill full-time opportunities with our top performing interns at the end of the season, or potential internships extensions into summer/fall while you complete your degree work.
