Pay Range: $60,000-$80,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.

Job Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying and analyzing different business processes and coming up with solutions to automate them using Excel VBA Macros and system enhancements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business operations and process improvement, as well as experience in programming and software

This is a full-time role in which you’ll report to the VP of Risk. You must be willing to work onsite at the Los Angeles Corporate office.

What is it like being part of our operations team?

• The Risk & Data team conducts complex analyses of insurance industry data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• The team often meets to discuss questions or concerns in order to meet objectives and accomplish tasks/projects.

What you’ll do as a Business Analyst?

• Analyze and evaluate business processes to identify areas that can be automated using Excel VBA Macros and system enhancements
• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to optimize business processes and increase efficiency
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure that automation solutions meet their needs
• Document process improvements, automation solutions, and system enhancements for future reference
• Monitor automation solutions to ensure they are functioning correctly and troubleshoot any issues that arise
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve business operations and automation processes

Qualifications

What we look for in our Business Analysts?

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or related field
• Strong proficiency in Excel VBA Macros and other programming languages
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of project management methodologies

Preferred but not required qualifications…

• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
• Knowledge of system integrations and APIs
• Understanding of database structures and SQL queries
