DECKER TRUCK LINE INC. is Hiring a Diesel Mechanic 2nd Shift $3000 Sign On Bonus Near Bessemer, AL
Decker is growing and has an immediate need for Diesel Mechanics at our Bessemer terminal! Full time 2nd shift position with the hours of 3pm-11:30pm. On-call as needed. $3/hr shift differential after training!
$3000 Bonus for new experienced tractor/trailer Diesel Mechanic applying 1/17/22 or after! $1000 on first check, $1000 after 90 days, $1000 after 6 months.
A day in the life of a Decker Diesel Mechanic looks like:
- Providing maintenance and repair on a private fleet of well-equipped, late model trucks and trailers with top of the line technology
- Processing work orders
- Accurately filling out necessary documents
- Opportunity for growth into shop leadership for the right person
- Also looking for a Lead Mechanic if you have prior supervisory experience
- Other duties as assigned
- Computer based diagnostic skills with OEM interfaces
- Paccar experience preferred
- Must have own tools
- Valid driver’s license required
- Basic computer knowledge for email and work orders etc.
- Knowledge and adherence to DOT/OSHA policies and procedures
- Steel and Aluminum Welding experience is a plus
- Reefer experience is a plus
- CDL a plus but not required
