DecisionPoint is seeking an exceptional Senior Business Development/Capture Manager to identify, qualify, capture and win new business opportunities within Federal Government clients in the Civilian and/or Defense sectors.
Communicate capture strategy to the growth team and makes sure it is implemented effectively.
Identifies and recruits subcontractors to help the company successfully bid on projects.
Conducts research to determine the best price and the best slate of services for the bid.
Meets with prospective customers to answer questions and discuss potential contracting vehicles.
Closes the deal or makes the final sale and brings in new business for the company for the best possible price.
Gets appropriate NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Subcontracts, etc., signed by all parties involved in a new business deal.
Understands every aspect of a business opportunity including the scope of the project, how many resources will be needed, the impact on schedules, competition, competitive pricing and budget concerns.
Works with proposal developers to ensure that a top-notch proposal is submitted to the prospective client.
Answers questions in the proposal and is involved in every phase.
Establishes and builds relationships with prospective and existing clients, and partner companies.
Develops a plan for making regular contact with prospective client targets (e.g. Call Plan).
Studies key competitors, performs competitive analysis, and makes recommendations for “ghosting” competition.
Active Secret Clearance preferred.
BA/BS preferred with 5 years of exceptional successful experience in Federal Civilian and/or DoD market growth areas with particular interest in digital modernization, cloud, cyber amd ITSM.
In depth knowledge of best practices using Shipley or similar Framework.
In depth knowledge of the typical Government Contracting capture and proposal process.
Evidence of successful capture experience in the target government agency.
Specific market expansion successful growing SDVOSB/Small business company.
Excellent writing skills.
Excellent communications skills.
Effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
MS Office at an intermediate level.
