deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Senior System Administrator in Melbourne, FL.

Position Description:

deciBel Research is looking for an experienced Senior System Administrator to support operations at Patrick Space Force Base in Melbourne, FL. In this position the successful candidate will be responsible for information technology (IT) systems design, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities Include:

• Install and maintain organization's computer systems, including operating systems, applications, security software and other IT hardware
• Troubleshoot and remedy hardware and software
• Install and configure networking equipment
• Manage user accounts, credentials, permissions, and access rights
• Develop and execute backup and recovery plan
• Maintain internal documentation and train staff on equipment usage
• Facilitate tasks in support in support of programmatic and technical teams
• Support the development, testing, installation, integration, and sustainment of new and existing systems
• Verify the technical feasibility, suitability, and sustainability of data acquisition, processing, and storage
• Systemize software and data acquisition processes for repeatability and increased efficiency
• Contribute subject matter expertise in software development methodologies and provide technical support for projects supporting mission execution

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar degree.

Experience Requirements:

• At least five years of system administration experience
• System administration experience with USAF or DoD systems a plus
• Expertise with Microsoft Windows Server, Client, and Linux operating systems
• Experience with networking and IT equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to multitask
