DDI is Hiring a Technical Project Manager Near Continental USA,

As such, DDI’s technology profile extends to cover both customer-facing (product) and internal systems capabilities is designed to support a customer base with a high need for data privacy and compliance with global data protection regulations.

The DDI Global Infrastructure Project Manager will liaison closely with Global Infrastructure Engineers, Product Development teams, Product Managers, and other business stakeholders and external technology partners to manage and deliver DDI’s technology projects. As the Project Manager, you 

  • Will use your strong project management skills to set up, organize and manage several infrastructure projects simultaneously to successfully deliver the expected business outcomes
  • Have a deep knowledge of modern infrastructure technologies such as cloud (Azure), networking and identity and access management, and
  • Understanding of current global security, privacy, and compliance challenges 
  • Manage dependencies of projects to prioritize work against the interrupt-driven nature of daily infrastructure team’s life, helping the team shift and focus on priorities appropriately.
  • Feel equally at home explaining the project team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in infrastructure or product development with engineer

The project manager will be part of DDI’s Global Technology Group and report to the Director, Global Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Planning, organizing, scheduling, and managing technical projects from inception to completion, including oversight for all project deliverables and overall expected business outcomes.
  • Working with key stakeholders to understand the business needs and goals, acting as an advisor to planning decisions.
  • Monitoring and tracking projects to manage dependencies, identify risks, and drive alignment across teams on complex technical projects.
  • Facilitating discussions to make decisions and taking part in decision-making processes; applying critical thinking during decision-making process and ensuring that project decisions are documented and communicated
  • Facilitating and encouraging collaboration across departments to ensure projects are completed successfully and works directly with team members to identify and resolve project barriers or conflicting priorities.
  • Facilitating discussions to resolve project discrepancies with internal resources and third parties/vendors which includes meeting with stakeholders to clarify requirements as needed. 
  • Understanding of project budget and cost impact of architectural decisions made

Basic Qualifications (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job)

  • A bachelor’s degree in project management, computer science, informational technology, or related fields 
  • Strong IT technology background: Minimum 12 years work experience in a technical IT environment
  • Strong and demonstrable project management skills and at least 7 years’ experience of leading, managing and participating in cross-functional technical IT infrastructure projects is required.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
  • Good knowledge of modern IT infrastructure technologies (cloud, networking, security, IAM, Windows, SaaS), experience/familiarity with data center operations and cloud migration projects (especially Azure) a plus
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising project teams
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
  • Ability to develop strong professional relationships and to influence peers, managers, third party service providers and other teams
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple technical IT infrastructure projects simultaneously
