Job Description

Sales Development Reps (SDR) service existing small accounts and build new business pipeline by providing outbound prospecting, qualified lead generation and the handling of accounts under 1,000 employees. This is an entry level sales position and is the gateway to sales career opportunities at DDI. The goal is to move them into sales within six months, so there is an aggressive training schedule. 
 

This position is remote and can be based anywhere in the US. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop viable leads through prospect identification, qualification, and analysis
  • Continuous prospecting of new-logo targeted accounts via phone and email
  • Provide outstanding customer service to existing small accounts and be able to cross-sell products and services
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to determine new-logo targeted account strategies
  • Create client interest, quickly aligning DDI’s value and competitive advantages to client needs
  • Manage and track leads and sales in CRM. Capture pertinent client and prospect data
  • Leverage Marketing/Sales technology tools to identify and engage key contacts at target companies
  • Achieve monthly call volume and qualified lead goals

  • Effective communicator, including strong verbal and written skills, by phone, email, and Microsoft Teams
  • Good presentation skills and ability to use PowerPoint
  • Business Acumen
  • Comfortable with cold calling
  • Self-motivated, high-energy team player, able to deliver results with limited oversight
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrates positivity and resiliency, able to handle rejection and move forward
  • Committed to success and continuous learning
  • Willingness to contribute as an individual and to the team’s success in a collaborative environment
  • MS office suite experience (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Technologically savvy with ability to quickly learn and utilize new software
  • Motivated for a career in Sales

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous outside Sales, Inside Sales, Lead Generation or Qualified Appointment setting experience
  • Experience working with a CRM
  • Bachelor’s degree
