DCS Corporation has an immediate opportunity for a seasoned Senior Contracts Administrator to support the company’s growth and strategic plan objectives.
The position reports to the Director of Contracts and can be located in the Lexington Park, MD office or Alexandria, VA Headquarters, with remote work available.
Conducts the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of government contracts and subcontracts to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Duties also include reviewing contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements. Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions. Performs assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet outlined objectives.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide the oversight and monitoring of contracts, lead or assist in key negotiations, resolve performance issues, identify risks and associated mitigations, support development of major proposals, ensure compliance with company policies, procedures as well as government and contract requirements.
Provide cradle-to-grave contract administration support for Government contracts of various contract types (CPFF, FFP, T&M).
Negotiate Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements and Subcontract Agreements.
The candidate will frequently interact - written, oral, and face-to-face - with other contracts and procurement staff, functional peers, management and external and internal customers.
Regularly interact with programs, contracts, project control, finance, business development and with customers as required.
Develop or review prime contract flow down documents to ensure compliance with prime contract requirements and to minimize company liability.
Support internal/external audit activities as well as data request from internal/external customers.
Preferred location for this position will be in Lexington Park, MD; alternate location would be Alexandria, VA.
Occasional travel may be requested.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of eight years of experience.
Knowledge of both the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.
Must have the ability to handle multiple contractual activities with a short turn-around time, and work as part of a Team.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance is desired; Active Secret clearance is a plus.
Excellent negotiation skills, including experience negotiating complex terms and conditions.
Must have experience with all contract types (CPIF, CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc.).
Excellent time management, organizational, and analytical skills, including solving problems and mitigating risks.
Ability to participate in proposal developmet and creation of proposal artifacts, and to identify and mitigage contract risks in accordance with company policy and procedures.
Must have the interpersonal skills to deal effectively with management and staff regarding Contracts issues with high degrees of complexity and work issues to resolution.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with U.S. Air Force and/or U.S. Navy Customers.
