We're looking for a talented, highly motivated, hard-working individual to help maintain Linux and Windows systems for a rapidly growing employee-owned defense contractor with more than 1,900 employees nationwide.
Essential Job Functions:
Administer and maintain both physical and virtualized Linux and Windows systems.
Upgrade, patch, and regularly maintain various networked and non-networked systems including VMWare and Azure environments.
Create and/or use existing standard images for Windows and Linux systems.
Ability to learn new miscellaneous software systems to be able to patch, upgrade, and maintain them.
Familiarity with Linux patch management system Red Hat Satellite and Landscape.
Familiarity with Ansible, Tower and/or AWX for configuration management and use or create playbooks to ensure CMMC level 3 security compliance.
Ability to coordinate and collaborate with others to support mission critical resources providing aid and guidance in maintenance and compliance efforts.
Develop and maintain formal documentation and policies for the practices and procedures related to the technologies listed herein.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, ability to obtain a security clearance (e.g. U.S. Citizenship, no criminal record, etc.)
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology from an ABET accredited program plus 5 years of experience.
Experience organizing and executing I.T. projects (e.g. deploying new services, system upgrades, etc.)
Experience in supporting on premise systems as well as remote systems.
Self-initiative: ability to prioritize and execute with minimal direct supervision.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with NIST, STIG and/or CMMC compliance levels and standards.
Knowledge of Active Directory and group policy administration.
Cybersecurity certification(s).
