Job Description
- Tests or calibrates components or equipment, following manufacturers' manuals and applicable policies and procedures.
- Keeps records of maintenance, repair, and required updates of equipment.
- Prepares Field Service Reports for end user at the facility when finished with repair.
- Inspects and tests malfunctioning medical or related equipment, following manufacturers' specifications and using test and analysis instruments.
- Disassembles malfunctioning equipment and removes, repairs, or replaces defective parts.
- Performs preventive maintenance service, and repair
- Tests, evaluates, and classifies excess or in-use equipment and determines safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of equipment, in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Examines equipment or facility's structural environment and checks for proper use of equipment to protect against electrical or mechanical hazards and to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Studies technical manuals or attends training sessions provided by equipment manufacturers to maintain proficiency in the field.
- Explains or demonstrates correct operation or preventive maintenance of equipment to personnel.
- Increase service contracts and demand service in service area
- Complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manage contracts in service area and deliver electronically customer contracts 6 weeks prior to previous expiration date
