DCG Communications is Hiring a Remote Project Manager (Account Director)

DCG Communications (DCG) is seeking a Project Manager (Account Director) to provide daily management and leadership on a fast-paced, high-profile multi-million-dollar account combating terrorism and targeted violence. The director will provide frequent client management and interaction, while building trust and report. Additionally, the director will provide team and contract deliverable management. In this role, you will support the overall performance of a large task order of a multi-faceted account, serving as the primary client contact on status and performance, while anticipating and fulfilling client needs to meet or exceed expectations. At large, the team will support various communications, marketing, design and research initiatives for our federal client in its mission to make our country stronger, safer, and more resilient.

Location: At DCG the majority of our team members, including this role are remote. With over 100 employees based in 20 states (and counting!), DCG is committed to hiring talented employees across the United States. The selected candidate will work during DCG’s core Eastern Standard Time business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Support the organization and direction of task order activities, including staffing, and financial and proposal management
  • Manage, lead, and motivate a diverse team including a team of communications professionals, writers, researchers, graphic designers, and subcontractors
  • Interact with senior level officials and senior level management
  • Prepare reports and present them to senior management as needed
  • Ensure the prompt submittal of deliverables
  • Identify and communicate need for shifting priorities and resources depending on client's needs
  • Draft recommendations based on observation, best practices, and research
  • Monitor project performance with the help of appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
  • Support the preparation and ongoing management of detailed project management plans and use the appropriate systems, tools, and techniques to monitor performance and track progress

Position Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and at least 10 (ten) years of relevant experience with progressive responsibility managing (to include being directly responsible for) large, multifaceted federal communications programs
  • Must qualify for Federal Government Public Trust Clearance
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee, manage, and connect multiple projects and timelines across diverse work streams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing skills with proven experience writing for public, internal, and client audiences.
  • Experience working or liaising with executive leaderships and/or heads of other executive departments and agencies
  • Proven experience managing people, projects, contracts, and budgets for federal government programs
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Proven success is working on and leading fast-paced, and complex contracts
  • Solution-oriented thinker and proven ability to evaluate complex challenges and provide multiple possible solutions/approaches to addressing challenges
  • Ability to foresee potential risks or issues and proactively plan for mitigation
  • Possesses extremely strong attention to detail and maintains a high level of organization
  • Possess high degree of professionalism, both with client and internal team communications and interactions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • DHS public trust clearance
  • Experience managing large scale, multi-million-dollar federal communications projects
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Veteran Affairs, or working in the military and/or veteran ecosystem
