Dave Gill Chevrolet is Hiring a Collision Center Estimator Near Columbus, OH

Job Description

The Collision Center Estimator is responsible for providing customers with vehicle collision repair estimates and relating this information to the Collision Center Technician so that the vehicle can be repaired properly and in a timely fashion. The ideal candidate has a post-secondary education or some coursework, a certification or designation in the field of automotive repair, one year of experience in a large-volume facility, some supervisory experience, and a willingness to accept accountability for the success of the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greets and interacts with each customer in the process of vehicle repair
  • Prepares all damage reports/estimates in an accurate and efficient manner
  • Obtains all signatures, work authorizations, and powers of attorney
  • Reviews and prepares all final bills and supplemental billings prior to delivery of the vehicle
  • Reviews the completed vehicle to check quality and thoroughness
  • Maintains a constant focus on customer service and makes every effort to satisfy the customer's needs with regards to their automotive repair
  • Makes every effort to make a customer or potential customer feel comfortable and welcome during the entire process or whenever visiting the facility
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers
  • Follows all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One year of experience in automotive service/repair
  • Automotive certification or designation desired
  • Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills
  • Neat, clean, and professional appearance
  • An impressive work ethic
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
