Salary:

Job Summary

The Building Services Technician will execute work orders to construct, erect, install or repair structures and coordinate material and staffing needs to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Construct, erect, install, or repair structures and fixtures.
  • Observe and follow company safety policies.
  • Coordinate material and staffing needs.
  • Recognize unsafe working conditions and make necessary corrections.
  • Read blueprints and interpret details and figure materials for jobs Inspect work along the way to ensure it is up to code and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain good client relationships.
  • Ensure safe operating and professional looking jobsite.
  • Perform proper care and basic maintenance of all on-site company tools and equipment.
  • Work as a team member in accomplishing detailed daily and weekly goals.
  • Perform duties as directed by the Building Services Manager.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of and ability to safely use all construction tools and equipment, as well as the ability to work with all power and air tools efficiently, productively, accurately, and safely.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, attention to detail, manual dexterity, math and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Strong ability to look ahead and plan in order to maintain productivity.
  • Thorough knowledge of all construction processes, procedures, methods, and technologies.
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills; proven ability to multi-task, manage consecutive and often competing deadlines, and address changing priorities in an effective and timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two-year technical program completion preferred, but not required.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works indoors and outdoors with extreme heat, extreme cold and excessive noise.
  • Physical strength requirements include being able to exert twenty-five pounds regularly and frequently exerting up to fifty pounds.
  • This position requires moving about to a significant degree, ascending/descending, working atop, has repetitive hand/arm/wrist use, and frequently traverses with uneven/even walking surface.
  • This position will have occasional use and operation of motor vehicles and operate foot pedals.
  • Frequently works with/near machinery, electricity, power tools, impact tools, chemicals, fumes, and heights.

Travel Requirements

Travel may be required.
