The Position: We are looking for a candidate who will be performing the role of a Cargo SME / Research Analyst IV, supporting the Cargo Helicopter product office.
The Location: Redstone Arsenal, AL
The Work Environment: On-Site / Hybrid - upon award.
Requires the employee to work on-site at the government program office. The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.
The Description:
The candidate will provide advice, oversight, and assistance to various elements of the Cargo Program Managers Office (PMO), DA components, and fully engages in the sustainment of the CH-47 Army aircraft. Applies principles of life cycle cradle to crave management, and as a component expert, considers equipment, conditions, planning and implementation of comprehensive DOD component logistics programs to include integration with environmental and safety requirements.
Candidate will apply existing knowledge in the following:
  • Proficient with all current versions and verifications of Modifications Work Orders (MWO) technical procedures, modification kits, Technical Data Packages (TDP) and or Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWR), review Engineer Change Proposals (ECP) and provide input on logistics safety.
  • Representative actions may include assessing and preparing updates to maintenance concepts and plans; assessing and /or conducting LORA to optimize system support concepts.
  • Provide analytic/logistic Support Equipment and Test, Measurement and Diagnostics Equipment (TMDE) expertise. Representative tasks include review and evaluate Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Sets (TPS) software program plans and documents; provide functional recommendations for ATE/IPS hardware and software.
  • Adept at reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, manufacturing plans, and wiring diagrams to identify system operation, troubleshoot, fault isolate, and repair avionics systems.
  • Provide analytic/logistic Training and Training Support expertise for training documentation development and Training Aids Devices Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) supporting both USA and FMS customers.
  • Validation of technology-based / computer- based multimedia-training materials such as Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI), and Virtual Immersive Environment (VIE); conducting training to meet CH PO training requirements.
  • Provide analytic/logistic experience to identify, plan, resource, and acquire facilities to enable training, maintenance, and storage.
  • Knowledge of the various subject matter areas of publications regulations, principles, methods, and concepts; to include but not limited to acquisition strategies; target publications policy, regulations, specifications, standards, and practices; Continuous Acquisition and Life Cycle Support (CALS) standards and practices which include general digital technologies, and Integrated Product Support concepts.
Education & Experience:
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, required.
  • Bachelor's Degree with eight (8) years of related experience.
    • ALLOWABLE SUBSITIUTIONS:
      • High School Diploma/GED with thirteen (13) years of related experience.

  • Acquisition and/or sustainment logistics.
  • Foreign Military Sales case experience.
  • Manage and operate applicable automated databases.
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task; prioritize internal and external tasks/projections.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to comprehend engineering technical data.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.

  • On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required.
