About the Department

The mission of the Accounting & Finance department at Databook is to be a trusted advisor to the company, driving actionable financial insights and influencing corporate decision-making through timely and accurate financials and metrics. 

The Opportunity

Databook is searching for a highly motivated individual to join our Finance team as our Accounting Manager. You will be a key contributor to the Accounting and Finance organization in our rapidly growing company. This role will report directly to the Controller and work cross- functionally with multiple departments.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, general ledger and tax
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial and management reports, including Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, Budget and Variance, and supporting Projections and Forecast
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and related accounting records for accuracy
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Prepare payroll and review expense reimbursements 
• Compile and prepare journal entries
• Identify opportunities for process and procedure improvements and work with management to implement such
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested

About You

• 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Thorough knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• NetSuite experience 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• An ability to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams
• Display honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments
• Excellent follow through and strong attention to detail
• Comfort with organizational changes in a fast-moving environment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Ideal candidates will also have:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
• Experience working in the SaaS industry
