To continue to meet our customer’s mission critical needs, DDC is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our respected and valued team.
Responsibilities
The Sr. Accountant maintains and oversees the financial books and records, ensuring that all financial transactions, which affect the Company, are recorded properly and timely. Reviews and discuss financial information with management.
- Ensure implementation of Company safety, health and environmental programs for employees whose work is Ensure that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
- Commitment to the Company’s policies, principles, and procedures and adheres to the Company’s procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S), Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”), discipline/corrective action, and security.
- Masters and maintains General Ledger, calculating and posting of all required journal
- Coordinates and prepares monthly and annual book closings, including preparation of month-end and year-end journal entries, intercompany and GL account analysis, bank reconciliations and capital expenditure
- Prepares financial statements and other financial reports required on a monthly and quarterly
- Prepares budget vs. actual analyses and works with department head on any
- Supports and develops other areas of finance, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable; giving proper guidance to ensure the smooth flow of information between all groups
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Effective oral and written communication
- Ability to research and analyze various different type of data
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting procedures and
Educational / Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Required
- 5-10 years relevant work experience
