The Construction Manager role requires travel, with location assignments being dependent upon project requirements.

Primary Function

The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of assigned high voltage electrical installation projects from pre-construction through project completion. Assignments typically include managing project safety, material handling, quality, schedule, cost control, field activities, and subcontracts.

Duties & Responsibilities

Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:

• Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day construction activities.
• Provide direction and participate in project planning, scheduling, and establishing critical project objectives.
• Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure that requested materials are expedited and received per project schedule.
• Receive, handle job materials and turning in material paperwork to the Purchasing Department.
• Develop new and manage existing client relationships while interfacing with the client on project related items.
• Develop new and manage existing subcontractor relationships based on previous experience in the Electric Power Industry.
• Participate in the project permitting process, making sure they are secured in accordance with the project requirements.
• Review, approve, and communicate internal and external reports including project budgeting and status reports.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement design changes in the field.
• Comply with Company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management/Science is required; equivalent construction field experience in the Electric Power Industry may be substituted for the degree requirement. Five years construction experience in the Electric Power Industry is preferred.

Job Qualifications:

• Experience in estimating, subcontracting, and scheduling EPC projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing to travel up to 100% of the time.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC card if applicable to assigned project.
