DASH Therapy is an occupational therapy clinic that specializes in upper extremities with certified hand therapists on site.

Job Title: Front Desk Coordinator

Summary/Objective:

The Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating daily operations to ensure quality patient care and streamlined access to service for all new patients.

Responsibilities include providing administrative, clerical services, and input into process improvement. Front Desk Coordinator also conveys a positive image of the clinic and exhibits values of respect, integrity, innovation, and compassion.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Screen calls, arrange appointments, manage client communications and process referrals
  • Prepare new records, files, and maintain records
  • Manage and create reports, memos, and forms as requested by physicians and/or administration
  • Some transcription of medical notes
  • Prepare billing packets of each day for billing department
  • Perform insurance verifications
  • Take clear and concise phone messages
  • Schedule and confirm appointments daily
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles and inquire on previous balances
  • Keep constant communication and updates with health insurance companies
  • Prepare patient appointment daily list
  • Maintain order and file charts
  • Create new patient packets and charts
  • Keep front area neat and tidy at all times
  • Copy medical information as requested following proper procedures
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate
  • Previous medical office experience or training
  • Understand health insurance
  • Customer service experience required
  • Ability to comprehend established office routines and policies
  • Ability to keep financial records and perform mathematical tasks
  • Knowledge of some medical terminology
  • Understand HIPPA and OSHA regulations and privacy practices
  • Excellent organizational skills and multi-tasked abilities
  • Strong Computer skills
  • Ability to learn quickly from oral and written instructions
  • Must be dependable

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
