Danfoss is Hiring a Global Key Account Manager Near Big Bend, WI

Danfoss is seeking a self-driven, customer-focused Global Key Account Manager in the United States for Trane Technologies, supporting Trane Commercial HVAC factories and selected Trane Commercial Sales Offices (CSO’s). The Global Key Account Manager for Trane must be able continue to nurture and further develop the relationship that has been developed with this partnership since 2003 and grown to be the largest Danfoss Drives customer. This position will report to the Director for Global Key Accounts, Ingersoll Rand.
 
Background and Skills:
In order to be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria.

 
  • Bachelors’ degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering required; or equivalent technical experience with HVAC systems
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with AC motor control, commercial HVAC systems, and controls
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical solution sales to large corporations
  • Familiarity working with HVAC OEM, particularly Trane, is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to read architectural, mechanical and electrical blueprints
  • Ability to assist in the creation of marketing and sales materials of drives
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and other similar CRM system
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 50%; 30% international travel
 
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

 
  • Provide commercial and technical support to Trane Commercial factories and CSO’s
  • Lead customer visits and maintain/cultivate senior level customer relationships
  • Ensure alignment and provide support to the Sales Director on regional activities
  • Prepare project takeoffs based on plan and specification review – may include quotation, submittals, bills of material, etc.
  • Identify opportunities for new business, develop solution that best meets the needs of the customer and provide response to Request for Proposal (RFP)
  • Build and lead a cross-functional account network required to provide best-in-class support for customer
  • Develop an understanding of account needs, key decision makers, applications, products/product development plans and competitive situations
  • Engagement of Technical Account Management & Technical Opportunity Management to deliver value to the customer in the pre- & post sales execution 
  • Development of critical customer insights to uncover short & long-term customer needs and reflect in product/services/processes & quality Roadmap
  • Work with customer Quality & Reliability teams and Danfoss internal teams to continually improve factory line rejects and field failure rates
  • Effectively communicate and build network with other functions within Danfoss Drives organization (Supply Chain, Product Management and R&D) and cross-segment functions.
  • Ability to successfully work with multiple functions within the customer’s organization – including Supply Chain, sales engineers, Procurement, Quality, R&D and management
  • Be the customer advocate within Danfoss and inspire the internal cross-functional team that is needed to provide best-in-class support to our customer
