Dal-Tile Corp. is Hiring an Entry Level Accountant (FT) Near Dallas, TX
- Apply receipt of freight claim checks by performing SAP data inquiries to appropriately apply credits to multiple general ledger accounts.
- Process ACH broker payments by reviewing invoices and purchase orders.
- Review and verify accuracy of journal entries posted for system errors.
- Analyze activity and prepare accrual journal entries to properly record expenses.
- Perform account reconciliations for monthly activity.
- Participate in compiling year-end and interim Audit Schedules.
- Performs other analytical duties as required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or 8 plus years of experience in place of degree
- 0 to 2 years’ experience with a degree or 8 plus years in accounting without degree
- Advanced Excel (Access is a plus)
- Account reconciliations
- Journal entry preparation
- Practical knowledge of inventory and/or cost accounting
- SAP or other ERP system
- Effective and efficient ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
- Work well in group situations and on individual assignments
- Comprehensive and practical knowledge of GAAP (Generally accepted accounting principles)
- Ability to learn new systems to extract data using SAP, Excel, Access, and other company systems
- Ability to research inconsistent processes
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and take ownership
- Ability to multi-task and meet set deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills through demonstrated ability to establish relationships
