The Opportunity

Quietflex, a member of Daikin Industries is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Regional Sales Manager position. The Regional Sales Manager manages sales team (Independent Representatives) and administers activities for a specific region or geographic area. Primary function is to lead, coach and guide the sales team within the region which includes hiring, coaching and monitoring performance. Maintains awareness of markets, competitor activities and problems within assigned area. Also, recognizes trends that develop the team and its efforts, making appropriate recommendations. Analyzes and prepares sales forecasts and reports. Responsibilities

May include;

  • Provides guidance to the ASM and Independent Representatives by providing leadership, training, mentoring and direction, as well as monitoring daily functions within the region.
  • Provides support and guidance to ASM and Independent Representatives as well as to branches as it pertains to region sales growth to ensure regional new business goals are met.
  • Achieves overall sales and profit goals. Provides leadership in the areas of commercial sales, parts & supplies sales and branded equipment sales.
  • Travels and works trade shows, open houses, and other promotions as needed.
  • Manages and works with national accounts in their geographical area.
  • Ensures all company policies related to sales are followed throughout the region.
  • Manages relationship between GDI and other Independent Distribution within assigned geographical area.
  • Follows up and ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Remains abreast with current industry trends with involvement in local trade organizations
  • Creates individual programs to drive contractor behavior.
  • Develops business plan(s), where necessary to ensure forward growth of region and needs.

Qualifications

Nature and Scope:

  • Complies with Company policies, work procedures and safety procedures
  • Works within well defined instructions

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to influence, interact and sell to a wide spectrum of clients
  • Ability to multitask and lead a sales force.

Experience:

  • 8 years general business experience with HVAC wholesale experience 

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • University/College Degree or equivalent work related experience
