Manager of Product Integrity

The Opportunity

Daikin Comfort Technologies Manufacturing, L.P. is seeking a skilled individual for our Manager of Product Integrity position at our DTTP - Waller, TX location. The Manager of Product Integrity is responsible for investigation of claims against the organization as it relates to product quality and consistency. Travels to and participates in scene and subsequent laboratory examinations of products. Writes reports for Legal department as required in preparation to testify as an expert witness in depositions and trials. About DTTP

Daikin Texas Technology Park- has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin's American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman, Amana, and Daikin brands.

Responsibilities

May include:

• Participation in scene and laboratory examinations/investigations throughout the continental US and Canada.
• Communicates with Quality & Legal department as to findings.
• Provides updates on the status of the investigations.
• Responsible for keeping certifications current/valid.
• Identify common issues with claims.
• Carries out special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Skills:

• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• Excellent problem solving skills and techniques.
• Proficient working knowledge of MS Office-Excel, Word and email – Using Excel to import/extract data, analyze and create charts and tables.
• Prefer working alone with minimal supervision.

Experience:

• 5 plus years of experience in a fire investigative role.
• 10 plus depositions.
• 2 plus trials.

Education:

• Bachelor’s in Fire Investigation preferred.
• Must have a NAFI-CEFI certification.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems preferred.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
• Expected to travel 40 plus weeks per year.
