Senior Engineering Manager (Remote)

Da Vinci Unified (DVU), the company’s premier cloud-based product, is one of the leading Warehouse Management System (WMS) platforms in the cloud market. Growth in e-commerce is fueling a surging demand for SaaS WMS solutions that is expected to grow 500% in the next five years. Da Vinci also offers fully integrated Transportation Management (TMS), Yard Management (YMS), Labor Management (LMS), and 3PL Billing modules.

Responsibilities

• Drive new technologies, concepts, skills, and rapid implementation to build out the Da Vinci WMS for agility and scale for enterprise-level customers.
• Lead software and platform engineering across frontend and backend engineering and development teams, working throughout the stack from web UI to APIs to end-to-end platform development.
• Build processes to help scale product, platform, and team for growth.
• Introduce standards for high code quality and accountability of engineering team deliverables.
• Development of quarterly product roadmap in conjunction with Product Management & CEO.
• Communicate transparently and effectively the technology strategy with the executive leadership team, partners, and investors. Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to our technology.

Requirements

• Demonstrated track record of engineering leadership across SaaS technology companies, startups, and successful platforms. 
• Experience managing teams of 3-10 at a high growth SaaS start-up as the technical lead and helped scale from early stage to $10mm ARR. 
• Ability to see the “big picture” and assume ownership over the technology roadmap.
• Strong technical knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure (AWS) and hands-on experience required. DevOps experience with high availability and highly scalable distributed infrastructure.
• Possess good communication skills, strong driving force, and ownership of work and results. 
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical fields.
• 5 years of experience managing and leading software teams on a cloud SaaS product. 50% individual contributor and 50% managing and professional development.
• 5 years of experience with our stack, AWS, Rest APIs, Java or JSON, Python, PostgreSQL, and Angular for the UI.
• Experience in WMS or Logistics/Supply Chain software is a plus but optional.
