D2iQ is Hiring a Remote People Operations Manager

In this role, you’ll build, refine, and enable best-in-class people operations as we continue to scale the company globally. This is an impactful opportunity for someone that is looking to gain a wide range of experience in People Operations at a high-growth tech company.You’ll be responsible for employee benefits, annual employee reviews, global immigration, reporting and compliance, offboarding, and you’ll partner with the broader People team on other People programs as needed. We’re looking for a decisive problem solver with an approachable, “get it done” attitude who will thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment. This role will report to our Head of People and will be part of a team that is committed to creating meaningful “customer first” experiences for everyone at D2iQ.

Responsibilities

  • Manage HR technology (BambooHR, CultureAmp, ADP, Mineral training platform, etc.) and lead the implementation and optimization of our internal systems in order to drive solutions to improve people engagement and performance through our analyzing key metrics (i.e. headcount, attrition, engagement, D&I metrics, etc).
  • Maintain accurate and up to date employee records and census data to ensure we have the best information available to make the right decisions.
  • Manage employee benefits, including broker/ vendor relationships, enrollment, claims resolution, general employee inquiries and invoice processing.
  • Manage employee LOA, including maternity leave, disability, FMLA and similar programs internationally.
  • Manage global immigration, including green cards, H1Bs, international work permits and business visitor visas with our immigration vendor (Envoy).
  • Act as an expert to managers and staff regarding policies and procedures
  • Keep us safe, secure, and compliant; partner with crucial team members to ensure compliance with domestic and international requirements across the employee lifecycle - from internal policies to external compliance (EEO reporting, compliance trainings, etc.).
  • Point of contact for unemployment claims and employment verifications.
  • Handle employee offboarding, including conducting exit interviews, writing up exit interview feedback, paperwork, system deactivation, final paycheck, equipment collection with IT, etc.
  • Assist in managing the bi-annual employee performance review period, including setting and managing the project timeline, system administration (through CultureAmp), guiding managers, reporting, and overall execution in partnership with broader People team.
  • Partner with Head of People on Compensation planning for the company, including owning system administration, maintaining compensation bands, re-evaluating our compensation and equity bands as needed, etc.
  • Monitor all employee time off, including vacation and sick leave to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain the employee handbook and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures.
  • Partner closely with the rest of the People team to assess existing People programs, processes, workflows, and practices; find opportunities for automation and drive innovative solutions to improve the employee experience.
  • Develop processes focused on compliance and operational excellence to support the employee lifecycle; be responsible for execution of people processes - everything from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Participate in other team projects and company initiatives as need be.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in Human Resources/People Operations, preferably in startup environments 
  • Strong HR functional/generalist expertise; knowledgeable on global employment law matters, employment legislation, and compliance management
  • Experience maximizing HR systems to design processes for scale
  • Demonstrable expertise in HR policies and procedures
  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize actions
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, and to juggle several projects with a spirit of flexibility and positive outlook
  • Sound judgment, dynamic problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset
  • Customer-focused attitude, with high level of professionalism and discretion
  • Ability to influence managers/leaders with data-driven recommendations to improve performance, retention, and the employee experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • International experience a huge plus (UK & Germany)
