D&L Industrial Services, Inc. has been the leading provider of office cleaning, commercial cleaning, and floor care services for over forty years. We are currently looking for a Grounds keeping Assistant to maintain local school buildings in the Kalamazoo area.

We are looking for a candidate for Full time groundskeeper

Full time hours are 6:30am - 3pm

This position is a split position. Candidate will be at 2 locations, 1 location 3 days a week and the other location 2 days a week. Must have reliable transportation to get to and from the 2 locations.

Duties include:

• Uses snow blowers and shovels as needed.
• Mows grounds and playing surfaces; uses tractor mower and hand mowers to perform moving duties; performs routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Prepares playing fields; mows and grooms baseball diamonds and football fields. Mark fields and track areas before games.
• Monitors grounds; removes debris and leaves from school lawns and playing area. Cleans concession stands and outside restrooms.
• Trims trees and bushes; removes weeds from garden areas.
• Hauls trash, leaves and other materials.
• Performs cleaning responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred applicant * has prior grounds keeping experience.*
• Must have a valid driver's license and excellent driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Must have an excellent attendance record.
• Must have a Felony Free background and be able to pass a drug test

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
