CATV Splicer
Coax Splicing Technician

D&D Service is looking to hire a Coax Splicing Technician to work in the Minneapolis, St. Paul Minnesota area.

The use of tools / equipment and work described below is a brief “but not limited to” explanation of duties and requirements for a Coax Splicing Technician.

Tools used: 32’ Extension Ladder, 28’ Extension Ladder, 6’ Step Ladder, Crescent Wrench, Screw Drivers, Hand Drivers, Pliers, Wire Cutters, Assorted Wrenches, Cable Caddy’s, Power Drills, and specialty tools needed for the job.

Test Equipment: Volt Meter, Trialithic Digital Signal Meter, JDSU DSAM Digital Signal Meter

Work Description: Read and discern CATV maps. Splice and repair/replace coaxial fittings and equipment to achieve the vendor’s desired results. Knowledge of all types of coax cables incl. P1- P3- QR. Splice, Activations and or rebalancing of plant is daily task and is to be completed in an efficient and safe manor. Operate bucket truck (Aerial lift truck). Be available to perform night time cutovers. Be able to work in all types of weather conditions. Repetitive use of all hand tools and bodily movement such as walking, kneeling, bending, grasping, reaching, lifting, and standing. Ability to lift 50lbs. daily / repeatedly for an extended period of time. Early and late shift possibilities.
