Job Description About the Role: Cyient has an immediate opening for an Entry-level Engineering Assistant in our Telecommunications Team located in Tupelo, MS and Thousand Oaks, CA. You will learn the necessary skills to draft and design fiber network designs in the Outside Plant environment (aerial, underground and buried). You will learn multiple CAD platforms and how to analyze field data and existing telecom records to create a viable design, ready to be built in the field. You will learn to do Right-of-Way and easement research to determine proper equipment locations and determine relevant encroachment permits needed. You will learn to create, complete and submit complete design packages to our customers. You will report directly to the Section Manager in Tupelo, MS. You Will: Design and draft Telecommunications Fiber Engineering projects. Create other supporting documentation and submit entire package for approval. Collaborate with other OSP Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Field Technicians and Engineering Section managers to solve challenges and determine best practices for your projects. Research Right-of-Way and easement standards for your project location and assist with permit design and submission. You'll Need: 1 years of experience with AutoCAD, Microstation or other similar CAD design program. College degree in Engineering field preferred; High School diploma or equivalent is required. 1 years of experience with utility construction in an outside plant environment preferred. 1 years of experience with reading and analyzing utility work prints preferred. 1 years of experience with aerial, underground or buried telecom infrastructure preferred. Valid driver’s license, car insurance, clean driving record and reliable transportation is required.
