Job Description
CVS Health continues to be a leader in building a stronger, more effective health care system. The Shared Services Solution Architecture team within Healthcare Benefits plays a significant role in this transformation by creating solutions to meet the desired business capabilities and leading program delivery. Our architects will work with business, information, and technology teams to recommend technology solutions needed to enable leading-edge capabilities and develop comprehensive patterns that outline how those capabilities get realized in response to evolving business needs.
Contribute and create Architecture runway from Product Backlog (Enabler Features aka Architecture Features)
Manages Train/Feature/Store level NFRs.
Owns tech debt and collaborates w/ Product Management to remediate tech debts.
Participate in the Architecture Sync.
Contribute to evolve solution intent, working directly with Agile teams to implement them.
Oversees and owns end-to-end architecture (solution integration) of the features assigned to the respective Train(s).
Supports work-product-inspection review and approval process and sign-off
Provides consultation and SME support for all projects that impacts his/her domain
Participate in Quick-size effort
Support of intake management efforts for new features and requirements
Ad-hoc consultation for large programs or projects outside the domain
General oversight of activities that go on within the domain.
Governance oversight for solutions impacting our domain
Run / participate in Peer Reviews for work related to our domain
Maintain domain level diagrams in selected tool
Resource Management, Participate in L2 meetings, Mentor junior Solution Architects,
Participate in domain planning.
Review Service Requests for architectural significance and need for support
Determine if issues or risks need to be taken to Risk Review
Collaboration with other Solution and Enterprise Architecture teams
Provide a bi-monthly Architectural status to Arch director and Business directors.
Coordinate face-to-face meetings with business teams to build relationships
Coordinate Project Application Compliance Assessment (PACA)
Capture NFR requirements and provides support during performance tests
Daily coordination and working closely with DEV team
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 90,000
Maximum: 180,000
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
5 years of experience as a Solution Architect, Business Architect, or similar technical role.
5 years of leadership experience
Excellent communication skills
An excellent understanding of architectural / application / deployment patterns and best practices
Solutions oriented with proven success in a fast-paced environment, even keeled under pressure.
Highly autonomous, self-directed, proactive, and comfortable working within a dynamic environment.
An ability to clearly and effectively provide and communicate; opportunities and/or strategies for improvement to the team and greater organization
Preferred Qualifications
6 years of experience leading and/or and managing a team of software engineers
6 years of experience with scaling small teams in order to meet organizational objectives, such as a shared service
Experience with containers orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong documentation skills with a proven ability to develop Functional Specifications.
Strong multi-cloud knowledge and use of micro-services
Experience with CI/CD build tools
Experience with various programming languages such as Java, Ruby, Bash, Python and/or JavaScript and Node
Software security experience with backend services, API’s or front-end applications (native mobile and web)
An excellent understanding and use of cloud security and software security standards and best practices such as CIS, OWASP, CSA, NIST in order to ensure compliance for all
Experience working with Agile tools and with agile teams.
SAFe 5 Architect certification
Major Cloud Providers Certifications
Experience in Design Thinking
Technical education with experience in driving business projects; Healthcare domain knowledge; business process mapping
Education
Bachelors preferred
H.S diploma required with extensive experience
