CMS is currently looking for a Project Administrator.

Project Administrator

Assist the Project Managers and Project Coordinators by providing a wide arrange of administrative duties and functions.

Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)

  • Perform general administrative functions in relation to construction projects from proposal to closeout
  • Communicate and train subcontractors on procedures and compliance requirements
  • Follow up with material/equipment vendors and subcontractors on project applicable product data and closeout data ensuring compliance with contract specifications and submittals register tracking
  • Obtain, ensure compliance, and track subcontract certificates of insurance and documentation stating compliance to Davis-Bacon laws
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and track project closeout ensuring contract requirement compliance
  • Assist project superintendents with documentation as needed
  • Creates and manages electronic project folders
  • Update project budget revisions provided by Project Managers
  • Assist in creating and tracking of all project related documentations
  • Archive project files upon project completion to be maintained for a period of five years
  • Compose and/or edit letters and reports as assigned
  • Perform accounting adjustments, input job budgets, and change orders
  • Gather and maintain subcontractor insurance requirements and miscellaneous government forms
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and 1-2 years of related experience; or
  • A community college program and 3 or more years of related experience; or
  • A High School diploma and 5 or more years of related experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to assume responsibility, achieve assigned goals and work effectively with others. 
  • Ability to professionally communicate both verbally and in writing is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential. 
  • Ability to accurately organize, prioritize, plan and complete all job responsibilities. 
  • Interact in a cooperative and professional manner and maintain positive relationships with others
  • Knowledge of construction or other related technology and procedures required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Works under the direction of the Director, Project Controls 

Working Conditions

  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials 
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend, and reach
