Overview

We are seeking an IT Project Manager, with experience working in a Scientific Research setting. This position offers the opportunity to have a significant impact on the clinical research mission of the scientific research agency and the opportunity to lead a growing CVP team that is expanding its client base and mission impact at this Federal agency. You will work collaboratively and in close partnership with your scientific research agency clients to advance the research and public health mission of the agency through information technology.

Responsibilities

• Client service delivery and operations execution on projects ranging in scope including, but not limited to: technology strategy, architecture and service management; IT security; systems integration; data analytics and visualization; application development and maintenance; help desk operations; infrastructure/network design and management; and cloud (e.g., software, platform, infrastructure as a service).
• Collaborate with government clients and project teams comprised of other consulting practitioners. 
• Work independently to execute a portion of the project scope and may perform as a project manager on IT engagements of moderate size complexity or lead one or multiple work streams on large engagements.
• Lead deliverables and review the work of others for quality and accuracy, teach others on the project team about the client environment and mission, and overall project scope, communicate project delivery schedule and milestones while maintaining productive and professional relationships with the client.
• Perform analyses of a technical or non-technical nature.

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ Degree (BS/BA) and a minimum of eight years of experience in IT services. A Master's Degree and 4 years of experience may be substituted for years of experience.
• Demonstrated ability to manage IT engagements of moderate size and complexity, or work streams within a large engagement
• Possess competencies in multiple IT technologies, business processes, or combination of both.
• Professional oral and written communication skills, and presentation skills
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to mentor and manage junior staff and further their professional growth
