Position Summary:

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for overall performance and process of the inspection functions within the plant. This position provides direction to inspectors to achieve efficiencies in inspection processes, world class quality, and in the support on-time delivery. This position is responsible maintaining and improving the quality processes at our New Berlin facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and directing Inspection Department ensuring Key Performance Indicators in parts and processes are meeting customer and Spincraft quality standards.
  • Support the execution production schedules and engineering defined processes.
  • Identify, research, and implement effective root cause and corrective action plans that result in reduced cost of poor quality. Lead the efforts in root cause and corrective actions. 
  • Internal auditor of Quality System.
  • Key interface to external auditors including Nadcap for special processes and Quality System audits.
  • Regularly identify processes, operations, parts and other factor of quality risk. Take actions to mitigate.
  • Assure the gauge calibration system is compliance to Spincraft Quality System Standards
  • Ensure the alignment of the manufacturing organization with the company mission statement and strategic plans
  • Drive, support and lead continuous improvement projects relating to manufacturing cost, quality, and increased throughput.
  • Ensure compliance to all company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance all customer specifications, drawings, and purchase orders requirements.
  • Maintain and improve work place organization and 5S initiatives
  • Member and key contributor to the Quality Management Team
  • Maintain and improve Nadcap Heat Treat processes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a Quality engineering experience in a machining or sheet metal fabrication organization. Thorough knowledge of inspection techniques, Geometric Tolerance and Dimensioning, and Blueprint interpretation. Experience in reading and interpreting technical specifications
  • Positive, team building, and action oriented leadership style that has resulted in a proven track record of year over year performance improvements. Establish individual accountability through performance management.
  • AS9100 or ISO quality Systems direct experience.
  • Innovative, strategic mind set with fact based, analytical decision making and problem solving ability
  • Computer Skills, experienced operating ERP system, Proficient with Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • High potential, high performing individual capable of moving to the next levels in the organization.
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of two-year degree in engineering, or related field. Relevant quality management experience may be accepted in lieu of full educational requirement.
  • Knowledge of Heat Treating & pyrometry processes
