Custom Transport is a family-owned bulk transportation company seeking a Professional with experience in the trucking and transportation industry. Central Dispatch Department is in Gilmer, Texas and the incumbent will have precise attention to detail, a strong ability and motivation to communicate well, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and efficiently. Software system skills and a common-sense intuition are necessary. Your positive, willing communication skills will make you successful. Custom is looking for an independent, dynamic team player who takes pride in serving Customers – internal and external.

Available to be on-call as needed

Ability to pass pre-employment hair follicle drug screen

Responsibilities:

· Coordinate customer needs with available Drivers and equipment

· Ability to interpret distance with work assigned which will allow on time delivery to customers

· By phone and/or software, communicate with Drivers and Customers changes, updates, and information

· Keep up to date on weather and road conditions for areas of operation

· Communicate with management information gathered from Drivers

· Stay abreast of maintenance issues on equipment and which requires service next, schedule for repairs and service.

· Know Driver requirements and DOT rules and regulations essential to your operations

· Prepare reports of information as requested

· Be a team member submitting suggestions on operations, safety, and how to improve company operations

· Communicate accidents and/or injuries immediately to safety department

· Prioritize and organize calls according to urgency

Schedule: Five Consecutive work days. As Traffic Manager/Terminal Manager assigns.

Equipment Operated: Desktop/laptop computer with basic office software, ability to enter and update data in software program. Cell phone, multi-line phone, calculator, fax machine, various copiers, Samsara, Mile Maker, and other related traffic software as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
