In this role, you will be a member our rapidly growing Program & Project Management team. The PM team's standard is to 'manage each project like we own it'. We are unique in that we provide in-house cost management and project scheduling along with program and project management, in a fully integrated package. We are currently hiring a Senior Project Manager to support public educational facility projects in Sacramento, CA. This is a highly visible, high-impact role that will put you at the forefront of building the educational future. Responsibilities

  • Provides managerial and construction oversight over all aspects of the project, including budget, schedule, quality, risk, project and document control, operational needs, contract administration, etc.
  • Manage on-site work, including supervision of contractor, subcontractors, specialty consultants, etc.
  • Resolves complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
  • Reviews status and overall construction project progress relative to submitted construction schedules.
  • Reviews change orders from all construction projects and assesses their impact on the District.
  • Assesses bid specifications for District need and probability of completion under stated timeline.
  • Reviews status and monitors variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting.
  • Reviews and verifies submitted applications for payment and performs overall fiscal management of multiple construction projects.
  • Provides functional direction over areas of responsibility including construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control.
  • Reviews and monitors overall administration of contracts for the architect and related consultants.
  • Reviews and takes recommended actions in resolving disputes relative to construction projects.
  • Develops and recommends internal policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, Construction Management or a closely related field.
  • 10 years' of experience in management of multiple construction projects; experience within a large capital improvement program and familiarity with relevant Public Codes.
  • A minimum of 2 years' of prior experience in Educational Facility Construction highly preferred. 
  • Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes or similar.
  • Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM).
