POSITION SUMMARY
The Internal Auditor will be responsible for technical audits and risk assessment of the IBM System, CU*Answers’ Network, and other areas as assigned by management and the Board of Directors. This position will work closely with the Senior Internal Auditor to ensure department obligations and deadlines are executed upon.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist the CFO and Accounting in developing Auditing Policies.
- Perform research on technology products, trends and professional standards as it relates to controls and the IT audit profession.
- Evaluate operating practices to determine if controls and security measures match company policies.
- Assist in preparation for SOC engagements, Network, Internal and External Penetration Audits by overseeing the gathering of information required by external auditors.
- Assist in developing and performing monthly audit projects including designing audit work papers and reports.
- Assist in auditing company security policies, proactively identifying and communicating risk and internal control issues.
- Audit of department policies on intranet to ensure up to date.
- Perform risk assessments and ongoing due diligence for third party services providers.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree or equivalent is required.
- Experience with IBM mid-range systems, networks and telecomm strongly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Demonstrate written and verbal communication of IT control issues.
- Experience in IT general and/or application control design and operating effectiveness testing preferred.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with operations, programming, systems and network management to understand their procedures (Risks)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data.
- Experience with the CU*Answers CU*BASE system preferred, but not required.
- Work experiences in information security a plus.
