Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Business Analyst is responsible for working with the Custom or EFT Programming team to review project requirements, map vendor files with CU*BASE data, validate data files, project management, and assist with client communication.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  1. Perform file analysis using vendor file layouts.
  2. Perform file validation.
  3. Project management which includes communicating with the vendor, credit union, and CU*Answers team members. Ensure the project stays on schedule and communicate timeline constraints or changes to all parties.
  4. Follow standards as outlined in the Programming Standards and Guidelines documentation.
  5. Research problems and questions from Client Service Representatives, Operations personnel, or credit union staff.
  6. Communicate with third-party vendors (ATM processors, insurance companies, credit bureaus, etc.) regarding project to determine expectations.
  7. Maintain a positive contribution as a member of the Programming Team and complete all tasks assigned by management to meet team objectives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High School graduate or equivalent is required.
  2. Two-year degree in business-related field or equivalent work-related experience is preferred.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Experience and comfort working with computer software; ability to learn and explore new software independently. Experience with the CU*Answers CU*BASE system is required.
  5. Thoroughness, excellent attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
  7. Ability to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential data.
  8. Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; ability to effectively handle rapidly-changing priorities and meet deadlines.
