 **Part Time** Medical Assistant

Tuesday through Thursday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm 

This will include travel to both locations Downtown & Ponte Vedra Beach.

If you are an organized & energetic individual who makes excellent patient care your top priority, then we would love for you to join the Ellison Vein Institute team! We are a company that focuses on maintaining a positive atmosphere for our patients and staff. 

Position Summary: This would be a part-time position Tuesday through Thursday with hours 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. We have two locations, one in the Pavilion Building at Baptist Medical Center Downtown and the second located in Ponte Vedra Beach. 

Ellison Vein Institute’s medical assistant is responsible for the “flow” of our clinic. This included bringing patients from the lobby to the exam room, taking vitals, updating medical history and assisting the providers in procedures. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparing electronic charts for the next day 

• Rooming patients which includes taking vitals and updating medical history

• Entering medical information into EHR

• Keeping exam rooms stocked with medical supplies

• Assisting with in-office procedures 

• Other duties as assigned 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent 
  • Current CMA or CNA certification
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical practice and must be able to multitask in daily routine, attention to detail is key to this position.
  • Strong work ethic, aptitude for detail, and ability to work independently, required.
  • Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills, required
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in the use of the EHR system.

Work Environment: 

  • Must be able to be on your feet for long periods 
  • Hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (1/2 hour lunch) Tuesday - Thursday
  • We have an office in Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra Beach so must be able to travel to both locations
