CST INDUSTRIES is Hiring a Human Resources Supervisor Near WINCHESTER, TN

We are looking for a Human Resources Supervisorin our Winchester, TN location.
Here are some details about this position:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processes hourly payroll and required documentation through payroll and ERP system.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Maintains Human Resources databases.
  • Manages recruiting process for all manufacturing positions, including coordinating temporary labor through staffing agencies, from initial screen to hire.
  • Performs administrative work within Human Resources, including updating company records, entering all manual labor and attendance information, filing paperwork.
  • Train workforce on company policies and procedures.
  • Support safety programs and initiatives resulting in OSHA compliance and workplace safety.
  • Conducts new employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of company policies and procedures, safety, benefit plans and enrollment provisions.
  • Coordinates employee events with assistance of Fun Committee members.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed. Assignments outside of the Human Resources Department must be approved by the Human Resources Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus
  • Must have knowledge of Federal and State labor and employment laws
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to speak clearly and, read and write in English. Must be able to clearly explain policies and procedures to employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole, fractions and decimal numbers.

REASONING ABILITY

Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Intermediate - Advanced MS Office Skills and accurate data entry skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee works in the office of a manufacturing plant environment with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with working in a high traffic, heavy machinery, manufacturing plant. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may vary by area in department). Job requires overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice.
