Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

The Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) will perform assignments designed to develop professional knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related land surveying tasks. This role will exercise judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs all Professional Land Surveying responsibilities for assigned projects
  • Handles all project operations both in-field and in-office
  • Manages client expectations and deliverables
  • Responsible for proposal writings, budgets, and costs management
  • Reviews and stamps the final drawings submitted by other team members
  • Implements operations and deliverables in accordance with State, Local, and industry standards
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Land Surveying
  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, written and verbal correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Capability to succeed in a flexible environment while multi-tasking and prioritizing work assignments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
