CSM Group is Hiring a HR Coordinator Near Kalamazoo, MI

SUMMARY:

We are looking to hire a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator with outstanding organizational and communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in a career in Human Resources. We are looking for a positive team player with superb organizational and time management skills. The ideal candidate should thrive working in a fast-paced environment and the ability to problem solves and multi-task. The HR Coordinator will provide administrative and project support to the Human Resources Manager and Human Resources team. This role performs a variety of highly diverse and complex administrative and HR project-oriented duties, including but not limited to the responsibilities listed below.

This is a full-time FLSA exempt position. It requires 40 work hours per week and the ability to work more if required. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews staff I-9 Forms to ensure completeness, maintains I-9 and new hire documentation and files E-verify.
  • Monitor and track HR metrics. 
  • Support human resources manager with training grant applications.
  • Manage floating holiday tracking and communications.
  • Assist the human resources manager with company wellness program.
  • Update and assist in management of job descriptions.
  • Aid the department with organizational culture awards.
  • Assist with culture events and various committees. 
  • Gather and manger supplier diversity data and tracking for the organization.
  • Research and review best practices and benchmarking data to develop solutions and improve the effectiveness of HR programs.
  • Support Administrative Coordinator with office coverage on an as-needed basis. 
  • Manages the company Builder Award Program.
  • Prepares new-employee files.
  • Provides other human resources support to the department as needed.
  • Be an employee and culture advocate. 

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources Management or similar field OR equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Thinks outside of the box with creative problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is essential. 
  • Must have the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-sufficient and self-motivation to meet project/work deadlines. 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion. 
  • Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision.
  • Likes to have FUN!

This position is located in Kalamazoo and travel outside Kalamazoo is infrequent.
