We are seeking Van Driver to provide safe and timely transportation for our members and create the most positive memorable experiences every day. The Driver will perform transportation duties in a safe and professional manner while providing first-class customer service. This is a part-time, as needed position.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Transport persons served to and from appointments, outings, or other events/activities. Assist ambulatory passengers as needed. Provide professional, courteous service.
- Coordinate outing schedules with management.
- Operate the organization's vehicle in compliance with organizational, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, interior, and exterior.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance and performance through regularly scheduled inspections and service repair. Report safety and maintenance concerns to the supervisor.
- Record mileage for all trips; maintain various vehicle logs as required.
High School Diploma or GED required.
- High school or equivalent
Required experience:
- Excellent communication skills
- Must hold a currently valid driver's license and have an excellent driving record.
- A high school diploma or equivalent and fluency in English required.
- Knowledge of state traffic laws.
- Ability to professionally and cooperatively work with staff, management, family members, and the general public.
Job Type: Part-time
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to drive long distances for extended periods of time.
- Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending.
- Hearing and vision abilities within the normal range (corrected) to drive safely and to observe and communicate with patients.
- Exposure to a variety of weather conditions.
- Requires standing and/or walking for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50lbs, bend, maintain a stationary position, move freely, operate equipment, ascend/descend freely, and position self to reach equipment above or below the normal standing height
