Job Summary Responsible for planning and implementing sales programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally or via sales team.Job Duties and Responsibilities• Develops and implements strategic sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services. • Develops and manages sales operating budgets. • Develops and recommends resort sales product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share. • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends. • Oversees and evaluates sales research and adjusts sales strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions. • Monitors competitor products, sales and their meeting marketing activities. • Responsible for prospecting and pursuing business in key market segments.• Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. • Guides preparation of sales activity reports and presents to executive management. • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programs. • Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales team by establishing sales territories and goals. • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote resort. • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships, negotiating and closing deals. • Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units. • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements. • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion. • Reviews and analyzes sales performances against goals and plans to determine effectiveness. • Approves invoices for payment. • Exemplifies Crystal Mountain’s Core Values.• Other duties as assigned.Job Specifications Competencies:• Prior sales experience• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly communicate to both large and small groups.• Computer skills, e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, database management, photo editing, etc.• Must have strong interpersonal skills and possess ability to work with different personalities and work styles• Must have good judgment and capable of making decisions• Must be flexible and able to react to changing situations• Highly organized and detail oriented with thorough follow up skills• Ability to work well under pressureEducation:• High School Diploma is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Business preferred with a minimum of 5 years of related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities.Physical & Other Requirements:• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. • The employee is frequently required to stand. • The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.• The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. • Ability to work outdoors during events.• Ability to travel as necessary.• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.• Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.• Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration.• Must have unrestricted and insurable driving record. • Non-smoking candidates preferred.
